Viren Mascarenhas has been invited to serve on the Arbitration Committee and the International Commercial Disputes Committee of the New York City Bar Association.

 

Viren is an active member of the New York City Bar Association, having served previously on the Vance Center for International Justice (2023 to 2025); Business and Human Rights Committee (2020 to 2025, including co-chair from 2020 to 2022); Energy Committee (2015 to 2018); and the Arbitration Committee (2010 to 2013).

 

Viren is also a member of the Arbitration Committees of both the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association.  He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and teaches a seminar at Columbia Law School on international arbitration.  He is Chair of the Arbitration Committee of the CPR Institute.

Viren is the Founding Partner of Mascarenhas Law PLLC, which is a disputes boutique headquartered in New York focusing on arbitration (commercial, construction, investment) and U.S. litigation, in particular relating to arbitration and non-U.S. proceedings.  Members of the firm, which includes Margaret Artz and Lexi Menish, also serve as arbitrators and mediators.
